Trapped
Being back on an island has been really getting to me this week. I want to go visit some friends in Europe for a weekend in December but I can't take any time off work at the moment so I'd need to fly late on a Friday and back late on a Sunday, but absolutly no flights to any of the cities on the possibilities list do this ggrrrrrr. The biggest problem is that for most of low fares airlines I'd need to go through London which is a nightmare and it's not worth it time wise. What I'd give to be able to jump on a bus or train, even an overnight one with uncomfy seats for hours and hours, I hate flying being the only option, it feels so constricting! So Decembers out. Thankfully January is looking more promising. I should have some free time that'll let me do a long weekend at the beginning of the month, Sweden/Denmark is looking likely, and I already have flights booked for the end of January, mass invasion of the 'Dam to visit Eoin and Colm.

You should try this Island http://www.newzealand.com/travel. Leaving on a Friday night, we wouldn't even be there by Sunday;):)
Haha!! True! I was just having one of those moany days where I really missed being able to get a train, even if it took 24 hours, at least it was an option :-)
